All Persons Providing Material in
Support of License Applicants
All
materials that are in support of a potential applicant for a Medical Marijuana
Producer or Dispensary Facility License must comply with all requirements set
forth in the Request for Applications.

As the
market as matured, wholesale prices of marijuana have continued to fall, and
the ability of licensees to maximize production has continued to increase.
There is so much marijuana available on the market right now that it is hard
for producer/processors to compete. Just having a license isn’t enough to run a
profitable business, and many of the top performing producer/ Standard Processing in the state are not generating the
profits that most outsiders would assume.
Marijuana
business regulations bar a company from using a licensed location for business
other than marijuana operations. Therefore, any type of license cancellation is
really a death penalty for the business itself. These businesses employ
anywhere between a few individuals and more than fifty people. Many of the
employees are not the most employable in other industries legal cannabis jobs
are the only thing standing between them and poverty.
For
applying for a Cannabis Drug Licence is that the company must already be a
holder of Drug Establishment Standard Cultivation License. The
application requirements for a Cannabis Drug Licence are not yet formalized or
published, however it is expected that they will mirror the requirements. Cannabis Drug Licence
must also meet the physical security requirements for their site as per Sections
63 to 72 of the Cannabis Regulations, or if they intend on securely storing
cannabis in accordance with the Directive on Physical Security Requirements for
Controlled Drugs and Substances and Drugs Containing Cannabis, they are exempt
from the requirements of the Cannabis Regulations.
